“Glee” star Jane Lynch to “Muppet” movie? Not so fast!

By Sean O’Connell Hollywoodnews.com: Sue Sylvester might not be shouting down Fozzie’s jokes or whipping Miss Piggy into shape. That’s because “Glee” superstar Jane Lynch has denied the rumors that she’ll participate in the Muppet movie, currently in production at Walt Disney Pictures. “I’m not doing the Muppets movie. They haven’t asked me,” Lynch told THR, later adding, “I would do it if they asked me.” So there’s time to work something out. But for now, Lynch will not be joining “Muppets” star Jason Segel and his puppet pals. However, even without Lynch, the movie has star power. According to reports, Paul Rudd will voice a new Muppet character named Walter. Segel will star alongside Amy Adams. Danny Trejo and Donald Glover (“Community”) will cameo. And many, many stars are rumored to appear, including Chris Cooper, Rashida Jones, Jack Black and Zach Galifianakis. And that’s not even counting Kermit, Piggy, Gonzo and the gang. “The Muppets” will return to theaters in 2011. Follow Hollywood News on Twitter for up-to-date news information.
